I had to visit the Hard Rock Live Casino during the week which meant rush hour traffic on the way home. Instead, I brought my camera and a couple of lenses to see what I could capture before heading south.

I really wanted photos of the excitement at the blackjack tables or slots but no way was I going to take picture of someone gambling. I am pretty sure too that security would have shut me down immediately.

Therefore, I took my talents to the abstract. The ceiling along one hallway was very neat with these “floating clouds”. Not sure how else to describe them but loved their shape and how they interacted with the walls.

Then the fountain. I took one photo with my 24mm-105mm lens. And thought I had the shot. After my third lap around the casino getting in my steps, I realized there was also water in some spots along the outer perimeter. I tried to get the shot with the same lens but was not wide enough. Luckily, I just got a 15mm - 35mm lens. Switching lenses did the trick. Set it to 16mm and got the shot I really wanted. What gets me is how my eyes go down to look at the refection instead of the actual fountain.

I am going to need more walls to post all of my favorite photos. My small apartment isn’t going to cut it.
