I went out to Key Biscayne very early in the morning to walk and then take photos. I was struggling to find a subject. I snapped random photos trying to get the creativity going but was not feeling inspired. I rejected all of those photos and only kept three.

Two photos were me practicing the pan and shoot. Capturing a moving object while blurring the background. I have to admit it was fun even though I failed 50 times. But I was reminded today by one of Alissa’s IG posts that failure is part of the process. I have these two photos to show for my effort. Maybe not perfect, but I like them. More importantly, I am enjoying the process.

Now to Ray’s photo. Ray is a great friend and a ham. He was super encouraging. He volunteered to be my subject and posed super silly. He also stopped some walkers and runners for me to practice as well.

I hope you have a look at my photos to see my growth as a photographer. It would be interesting to go back a couple of years from now to compare my style.
